Mount Stork

The Materossi family, owners and founders of the Monte Cicogna winery in Moniga del Garda on the Brescia shore of Lake Garda, began their winemaking activity with its founder Pietro Materossi way back in 1908.

Today, after more than a century of history, the fourth generation of the Materossi siblings—Maria Grazia, Alessandro, Luigi, Chiara, and Cesare—continue the legacy left by their Father Piero with the same philosophy and commitment as the past.

History is so important to us that we dedicated a wine to Alessandro, nicknamed "Don Lisander," the founder's son who spearheaded the cultivation of vines and the promotion of the wine produced in Moniga del Garda. "Excellence is not the end point, but the starting point." Following this philosophy, we tirelessly strive for quality, a criterion that guides us in improving every stage of production: from planting a new vineyard to presenting the bottle to the consumer and tasting the product. Tasters can perceive this style in the originality and pleasantness of the various wines, always authentic and representative of the terroir from which they originate.

The results and recognitions from national and international competitions and fairs have proven us right, demonstrating to us today that this philosophy has been valid in the past and is still relevant today.
