La Torre Winery

La Torre, active in the area since 1925, is today run by Lorenzo Pasini and Barbara Gargano, fourth-generation winemakers of a historic Calvagese della Riviera family, who have owned agricultural land since the mid-1600s.

The company has been certified organic since 2020, having converted after about 15 years of integrated farming. It has always focused primarily on the winemaking of native grapes, especially Groppello di Mocasina, a very rare local variety with fewer than 40 hectares of land in Italy.

In recent years, agroecological philosophy and related regenerative agriculture techniques have become the foundation for any consideration of vineyard management and our entire agricultural ecosystem, especially regarding the management of grass cover in the vineyard.
